The Role

Be fully aware of The Lanesborough Culture, Service Experience along with Guests Recognition that The Lanesborough is renowned for. Be able to promote and be confident with all facilities offered in the hotel.

Working within a professional Restaurant and Sommelier team, you will take a pro-active approach to constantly develop your wine and pairing knowledge, understanding both the restaurant menu and wine list. This position plays a key role in supporting the Sommeliers during service and contributes to the overall guest dining experience.

Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes

  • Experience within a fine dining establishment is essential. Preferably in a Michelin star restaurant.
  • Familiar with hotel environment is preferred
  • WSET (level 2) would be preferred although a catering school background along with a basic knowledge and passion for wines would be preferred
  • Good command of the English language is essential and a second language would be preferred
  • Well groomed appearance and personal hygiene
  • This role may require an element of manual handling and some heavy lifting.

Vous intégrerez une équipe dynamique, passionné et motivé pour vous former au métier de sommelier.

Le livre de cave est riche et varié, avec une belle sélection de vins des différents vignobles de France.
